The Roads and Transport Authority in Sharjah has completed its entire expanded operational plan by equipping intercity buses, in preparation for transporting passengers on daily trips during the blessed Eid Al-Adha holiday, by increasing the number of daily trips on Eid by 5,724 trips, which will continue over a period of 6 days, starting from June 27. This will run until the second of July.
Engineer Youssef Khamis Al-Othmani, Chairman of the Authority, announced the complete readiness of the teams specialized in organizing the operational operations of intercity buses in the Authority, after conducting a comprehensive study on the state of transportation during the blessed Eid Al-Adha holiday.
In keeping with receiving the number of passengers during the blessed Eid Al-Adha holiday, the authority raised its readiness by increasing the capacity to accommodate the number of passengers on all operational lines, to ensure the provision of the highest levels of smoothness and flexibility in transportation operations, and to reduce congestion and waiting times, as it provided 720 buses for transportation. between cities over 6 days.
Abdulaziz Al-Jarwan, Director of the Authority for Transportation Affairs, revealed that many services are provided in line with the needs of the customers and ensures the smooth operation of the operational process during the holiday. With the aim of regulating the movement of passengers to and from Jubail station and other stations, and maintaining buses’ adherence to flight schedules in a way that ensures the regularity of the operational process, and achieves the highest standards of safety and prevention in order to preserve the safety of all.
