6 stations distributed between Mecca and Madinah to feed the Holy Train at a cost of one billion riyals

The Saudi Electricity Company reported that six 380 kV transformations have been set up, especially for Al Haramain Express train between Makkah and Madinah, to enhance the reliability of the electric service of the train, which is the largest public transport project of its kind in the Middle East.

As the designs and technical constructions of the electric projects of Al-Haramain rapid railway took into account the strengthening of the electric service of the train and its various facilities, according to the latest international specifications, at a total cost of more than one and a half billion riyals,
The electric load of the Haramain Expressway is 200 MVA, while the total capacity of the switching stations is 720 MVA, including three stations in Makkah and the other three in Madina.

(13.8 KV). The passenger terminal in Makkah is provided with a capacity of 22 MVA and the passenger terminal in Jeddah with a capacity of 25 MVA. The passenger terminal at King Abdullah Economic City is provided with a capacity of 16 MB Volt Amp, Passenger Station in Medina with a capacity of 11MVA.
