80% of the assets of the UAE banking system to conventional banks

Total assets of conventional banks reached AED 2.148 trillion at the end of November, accounting for almost 80% of the total assets of the banking system in the UAE, which reached AED 2.687 trillion, while Islamic banks accounted for 20% of AED 538.5 billion.

The value of conventional banks’ assets increased by 44 billion dirhams at the end of November compared to October, a clear indication of the strengthening of this segment of banks to their financial solvency.
