The General Authority for Saudi Ports (Ports) has announced the issuance of the first unified license for the foreign investor, a valid license to work in all the Saudi ports of the Authority to carry out the activities of the maritime agencies.
This follows the adoption by the General Authority of Ports Authority of the General Regulations for Licenses and Regulations for the Business of Maritime Agencies and the Activities of Ship Suppliers except Fuel, which allowed the foreign investor to carry out these activities in the ports of the Authority with the requirements and controls prescribed by these regulations; To meet all operational requirements to ensure the satisfaction of customers and beneficiaries of the services of Saudi ports; to achieve the vision of the Kingdom 2030, and also to provide more jobs for citizens in this area.
The General Authority of Ports is working to enable the participation of the private sector and local and international operating companies to reach 70% in the ports sector, in addition to opening the door to other available investment opportunities, increasing the competitive capacity and expanding the operational and logistic activities in the Saudi ports. And the strategic location of the Kingdom that links it to the three continents of the world.
