Jeddah Islamic port registers 141% increase in cargo during May 2019

Jeddah Islamic Port achieved an increase in the rate of general cargo during the month of May 2019 by 160 thousand tons, an increase of 141%

The port achieved an increase in the number of containers issued and received by more than (408) thousand standard containers, 2.58% compared to the same period last year.

According to the statistical index issued by the General Authority of Ports (Ports), the number of vessels received by the port during the same month reached (353) vessels, an increase of 2.32% compared to the same period of the previous year 2018.

Jeddah Islamic Port also achieved a rise in the total number of passengers and departures by more than (54) thousand passengers during the last month, an increase of 17.65% compared to the same period last year 2018.
