Management of the Central Bank holds its fifth meeting for the year 2019

The Board of Directors of the Central Bank recently held its fifth meeting for 2019 under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Board of Directors at the headquarters of the Bank in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman and Governor of the Central Bank and members of the Board of Directors: Younis Haji Al Khouri, Khalid Mohammed Salem Al Boumi, Khalid Ahmed Al Tayer, Ali Mohammed Al Madawi Al Rumaithi, Saif Hadaf Al Shamsi, Deputy Governor and a group of senior officials of the Central Bank.
The Board was briefed on the Quarterly Financial System Monitoring Report for the first quarter of 2019 and the “Total Safety Safety Report” for the first quarter of 2019, as well as the report on stress test results for the year 2019 presented by the Financial Stability Service. These reports included related developments The stability of the banking and financial system of the UAE.
The Board also reviewed the Basel II Pillar-3 system for internal capital adequacy assessment conducted by banks and the Central Bank’s review and evaluation process, a report on the banking governance system and decided to adopt the two regulations.
The Board reviewed the applications submitted by banks and other financial institutions operating in the State, approved the updated applications and reviewed the financial statements of the Central Bank for the first quarter of 2019.
The Council reviewed the first quarterly report of 2019 presented by the Research and Statistics Department, reviewed global economic developments, local economic developments, indicators of financial stability, liquidity status of banks, monetary aggregates, central bank balance sheet, Interest rate compared to global interest rates.
