The authority made it possible for foreigners abroad to apply for an entry permit, through the smart services system, via the UAEICP website or smart application, which is a service through which a visa is issued for a worker in virtual work, and authorizes its holder to enter the country within 60 days.
She added that applying for a “virtual work residence” visa requires 5 steps, represented by logging in through the website, filling out the data, attaching the documents required for issuing the visa, paying the prescribed fees and evaluating the service, and then receiving the transaction by e-mail.
Pointing out that the visa application fee is 350 dirhams, which includes 100 dirhams for issuing a visa, 100 dirhams for application fees, 100 dirhams for smart services that were recently added, and 50 dirhams for the authority and electronic services.
The “Identity and Nationality” indicated that there are several requirements to apply for the issuance of this visa, which are “a valid passport for a period of no less than 6 months, a colored personal photo, and attaching evidence of his work for an entity outside the UAE and that working remotely, and attaching proof of Obtaining a monthly income of not less than $3,500, or the equivalent in foreign currencies, and attaching a valid health insurance policy within the country.
The authority stressed the importance of reviewing the data submitted for issuing the visa, and making sure that the required documents are attached, pointing out that the application will be rejected electronically, after 30 days have passed in the event that the application is returned due to deficiencies in the data or failure to complete the required documents. The application is also canceled if it is returned 3 times, due to incomplete data or failure to complete the required documents. It is confirmed that the issuance fees will be refunded only, in the event that the Authority rejects the application, and the fees will be refunded by credit card, within a period not exceeding six months from the date of submission of the application, or refunded through procedures. Followed to recover fees, by check or bank transfer, to banks within the country only, and for a period not exceeding five years.
