Removing all signs and plates and replacing them with new ones

The Abu Dhabi Police General Command, in cooperation with the Integrated Transport Center, started today (Monday) implementing measures to reduce the speed on the Abu Dhabi-Al Ain road from “Al-Sad Bridge” to “Al-Amerah Bridge” towards Al-Ain city from a speed of 160 km per hour to 140 km per hour, in order to enhance Traffic safety.

The measures that were implemented included removing all signs and traffic signs installed on the roads, which indicated that the road speed was limited to 160 km per hour, and replacing them with others showing that the road speed was limited to 140 km per hour.

The procedures also included the dissemination of messages through smart towers installed on the road showing the modifications in the road speed, at the same time calling on all vehicle drivers to adhere to the new speed plates and to ensure safe driving.
