Russia is one of the top 10 export markets for Russian tourists to Dubai. Flydubai recently announced an increase in air traffic in Russia.
Dubai is also the most popular investment destination for Russian expatriates in 2016 thanks to the supply of luxury properties in the emirate. The number of Russian guests in Abu Dhabi hotels increased by 41% in the first quarter of 2017, according to estimates by the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi.
