The opening of a representative office for Costa Rica in Dubai

The Republic of Costa Rica has opened a trade representative office at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) in a move that reflects bilateral cooperation between the business communities of Dubai and Costa Rica and facilitates the flow of business, investment and trade between the two sides.
Maria Delibilar Garrido Gonzalo, Minister of Economic Planning and Policy of Costa Rica, was inaugurated in the presence of Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chamber, Hamad Buamim, Director General of Dubai Chamber, Francisco Chacon Hernandez, Costa Rican Ambassador to the UAE and Juma Rashed Khamis Al Rumaithi, The Republic of Costa Rica and a host of prominent events, leaders and businessmen in the emirate.
Gonzalo stressed that the office aims to promote Costa Rica as an attractive investment destination and to further introduce its most important investment opportunities. The volume of trade between the UAE and Costa Rica is US $ 15.1 million in 2018 compared to US $ 7.6 million in 2017, Pointing out that her country looks forward to increasing the volume of trade and investment between the two sides.
Majid Saif Al Ghurair said that the opening of the Costa Rican Trade Representation Office is an important step towards activating the common economic relations and moving them to a wider scope of cooperation, coordination and economic integration.
