Jordan and France sign loan agreements worth 95 million euros

The Jordanian government and the French Development Agency today signed two financing agreements for a total of 95 million euros to support the public budget and support the municipal finance sector in Jordan.
The two agreements were signed on behalf of the Jordanian government by the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Mohammed Al-Assas, and the Director of the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Asia Department of the French Development Agency, Remi Genivi, on behalf of the French side.
The first concessional loan agreement aims to support the municipal financial sector in Jordan with an amount of € 80 million through the general budget. The second agreement, a very affordable loan of € 15 million, will be directed to support the general budget of Jordan. Investment necessary for development.
