Jordan: 70 beneficiaries of the initiative to postpone bank installments

Banks operating in Jordan have suspended loan installments for more than 70,000 citizens in the holy month of Ramadan, in an initiative to ease borrowers.
Hani Al-Qadi said in a press statement that the banks have responded to the requests of more than 70 thousand customers to postpone the installments of loans due during the month of Ramadan worth about 15 million dinars, which contributed to reducing the burden of families and citizens by providing liquidity helped them to meet their needs during the holy month, Eid Al Fitr, and this has boosted market demand as reflected in business activity.
The judge said that the banks have achieved a record achievement in the completion of the postponement of payment of installments in a short period, thanks to the great effort technically required for the success of the process of postponement of installments to citizens wishing to do so.
It is noteworthy that many banks initiated to postpone the payment of premiums to customers in the month of Ramadan, with the aim of easing the citizens, has received the initiative a large turnout of citizens
