“Meteorology”: an increase in humidity during August, by an average of 47%

August 1st

The National Center of Meteorology reported that the current month of August, an extension of July, is a rise in temperature, as the country continues to be affected during this month by the extension of the Indian seasonal depression, and thermal depressions from the southwest that lead to a noticeable rise in temperature.

The center added that cumulus clouds form over the eastern regions of the country due to the flow of moist air masses from the east. With the presence of the eastern mountains and the rise in temperatures, cumulus rain clouds develop in the afternoon, then move towards the interior.

He expected that the percentage of humidity in the air would increase slightly during this month, compared to July, especially in the second half of it, when the average relative humidity is 47%, with an increase in the feeling of it in the morning and evening in general.

He pointed out that the cycle of land and sea breezes plays an important role during this month, as the country is affected by southeastern winds at night and morning, and northern winds during the day, as well as sometimes active southerly winds, especially during the morning, that may raise dust. The northwest wind is also active sometimes.

The center expected that the average temperature would be between 34 and 37 Celsius, the average maximum temperature between 41 and 44, and the average minimum between 29 and 31. Pointing out that the highest temperature recorded in the country was 51.4 Celsius, in Muzaira’a in 2017. While the lowest was on Jebel Mabrah in 2013 reached 16.1 percentile.

The center expects that the weather on Wednesday and Thursday will be generally clear and partly cloudy at times, with low clouds appearing on the eastern coast in the morning, and humid at night and Thursday morning over some coastal areas, and the winds are southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, brisk at times, with a speed of 10 to 10. 20 reaches 35 km/h, and the sea is light during the day in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
