US stocks open higher

US stocks opened higher on Wednesday, gaining gains for four consecutive sessions, supported by energy and technology sectors, as well as hopes for a US-China trade deal.
The Dow Jones industrial average was up 56.82 points, or 0.24 percent, to 23,844.27 at the opening. The broader Standard & Poor’s 500 Index <.SPX> was up 5.59 points, or 0.22 percent, at 2,580. “The complex 26.06 points, or 0.38 percent, to 6,923.06 points.
