US stocks open lower

The US stock market started trading lower today.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was down 15.92 points, or 0.06 percent, at 2,6789.61.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index <.SPX> was down 6.97 points, or 0.23 percent, at 3,003.32. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 35.20 points, or 0.43 percent, at 8,150.59.
