“Emirates Sharia Fatwa” organizes a symposium “Bridges Towards International Peace”

Allama Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayh, Chairman of the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa, attended an international symposium organized by the Council, with the participation of 42 muftis representing various centers, roles and institutions of fatwas in the world.

The symposium dealt with the importance of the role played by fatwa institutions in promoting the values ​​of world peace and consolidating the principles of brotherhood and human solidarity, through the consolidation of the concepts of peace in the field of legal fatwas, refuting claims of extremism and hatred, and extending bridges of cooperation with philanthropists in the world.

In his speech at the opening of the symposium, he stressed the importance of the fatwa, and the role of the mufti in transposing the provisions of Sharia to the reality of those in charge, explaining that one of the most important things that the Mufti should take care of is preserving the purposes of Sharia, which scholars expressed in the five necessities, which are the preservation of life, religion, reason, family and property, and keenness on what is It achieves the reality of the people.

He pointed out that the most dangerous thing produced by contemporary reality is that the fatwa has become a weapon for extremists and the bearers of the crisis thought in all its spectrums and manifestations, so religions have made it lawful, destroyed nations and ravaged human beings. He is waiting for theorizing of theorists and not rooting for the originals, to fortify society with sober fatwas that extend the hand of peace and love of good to all mankind regardless of their races, races and religions.

For his part, Dr. Omar Habtoor Al-Dari, Director General of the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees and stressed the council’s keenness to enhance joint cooperation with various institutions and fatwa houses around the world. He said that the symposium comes as an affirmation by the Council of its belief in the pivotal role played by these institutions. In extending bridges of true peace to the world, and consolidating the values ​​of moderation and moderation in societies.
The seminar was moderated by Dr. Shamma Yousef Al Dhaheri, Member of the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa and Director of the Fatwa Services Department. It includes from muftis and scholars – constructive ideas to formulate recommendations and visions that support the fatwa’s process of development, peace and building bridges of stability in the region and the world.
His Eminence Dr. Nazer al-Din Muhammad Nasser – Mufti of Singapore, His Eminence Dr. Muhammad al-Ghazali Jakini – Mufti of Guinea, and His Eminence Dr. Hassan Abu Arqoub – Director of Media and Public Relations at the Jordanian Dar al-Ifta, spoke at the symposium.

The participants in the symposium provided a definition of the fatwa institutions to which they belong, explaining their role in promoting concepts of peace and calling for tolerance and coexistence in societies.
