The Federal Tax Authority confirmed that the implementation of the selective tax has achieved great success in all its fields, whether with regard to application mechanisms that have witnessed continuous development processes in accordance with international best practices, or in terms of the response of the taxable business sectors, as indicators showed many positive effects, Which reflects the achievement of the main objectives of the application of the selective tax.
This came in a press release issued by the authority on the occasion of the five-year anniversary of the implementation of the selective tax, which entered into force in the UAE as of the beginning of October 2017.
