The European Union intensifies its military support to Ukraine

The European Union is intensifying its military support to Ukraine with the launch on Monday of a mission to train 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers on its soil, and allocate new funding of 500 million euros, to supply the country with weapons.
“It’s a great precedent for the European Union,” a European official said, stressing, “We’ve never done a mission of this magnitude before.”
The foreign ministers of the 27 countries ratify the two decisions during a meeting in Luxembourg, provided that the mission begins work immediately, according to diplomatic sources.
Several training missions are taking place in several member states, particularly in Germany and France, where Ukrainian soldiers are trained in the use of cannons, missile launchers and air defenses sent by the Europeans to Ukraine.
