The Jordanian Department of Statistics has crowned the Arab statistical excellence industry at the level of the Arab statistical agencies. The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Mary Kawar, delivered the necklace during the 6th Arab Union of Statisticians Conference which was held in Amman during the period 9-10 July, with the participation of more than 70 participants representing scientists and statisticians in all Arab countries. This award comes in recognition of the outstanding efforts exerted by the Department of Statistics in all fields during the last few years, especially in the process of electronic transformation in the collection of statistical data, which has become a model to be followed by the Arab and regional statistical agencies through the implementation of the census of population and housing electronically, which The transfer of the field data collection process has led to a qualitative shift that has led to the conduct of studies and surveys with accuracy, quality, saving effort, time, financial cost and speed of announcement of results.
