Dr. Ali Al-Hosani, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy for the Entrepreneurship and Intellectual Property Sector, together with HE Roumine Suprian, Director-General of the French National Industrial Property Institute, discussed aspects of cooperation in the field of intellectual property and its role in enhancing the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises to serve the State’s efforts in this regard.
During the meeting held in Paris in the presence of Khalfan Al Suwaidi, Director of the International Center for Patent Registration at the Ministry and the accompanying delegation, the development of the intellectual property system within the UAE is a priority on the government agenda as one of the pillars of building a competitive and diversified economy based on knowledge and innovation Noting that the fruitful cooperation initiated by the ministry with the French Institute for Industrial Property contributes to the provision of quality programs to train and qualify national cadres and promote intellectual property culture among university students and research centers and support small and mid-sized companies.
