The Ministry of Economy organizes a series of activities to celebrate the World Day of Happiness, which included more than 9 initiatives and activities aimed at enhancing the happiness and positive environment among the Ministry’s employees as well as members of the community.
Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy, said that the UAE, with the support and guidance of its wise leadership, has taken great strides in implementing the concept of happiness among all members of the society from citizens and residents. The UAE has endeavored to consolidate this concept within the vision and development strategies adopted by the State in various fields. Encouraging initiatives that instill a spirit of happiness and positive, both at the governmental level, at the level of private sector companies or institutions, or at the individual level, thus providing a prominent example at the global level in terms of institutionalizing the concept and practice of happiness In accordance with clear agendas and various initiatives.
He added that the celebration of the World Day of Happiness clearly reflects the interest of the UAE government in this direction and the enhancement of its regional and global position as a leading and attractive destination in terms of happiness, well-being, quality of life, decent living conditions, stimulation of talents and energies, attention to creativity and innovation, empowerment of women and attention to children. A productive environment in which everyone can be positive and contribute to the advancement of the future and the future in various fields.
He added that these national efforts have been reflected in the country’s international indicators and reports on happiness and quality of life. They are among the top ten countries in the world quality indicators of the 2018 World Survey, which confirms the state’s determination to move forward in enhancing the happiness environment. And spreading the culture and practices of positive and satisfied in different parts of the state and society, within the framework of a national target of making the UAE people one of the happiest people in the world.
He announced that the ministry will cut prices of 4000 food and consumer goods starting today and over a month, in agreement with 650 outlets in the country and up to 55% in line with the World Day of Happiness. This comes at the forefront of initiatives launched by the ministry to spread happiness among the members of society.
Initiatives organized by the Ministry at the internal level also included a number of initiatives aimed at enhancing the happiness environment, creating a positive spirit of satisfaction among the staff, and in collaboration with a number of partners, an initiative entitled “Happiest Happiness” to encourage children to participate. Of activities and gifts that contribute to the drawing of the smile and the introduction of joy and happiness to the hearts of children benefiting from the initiative.
