The general price index of shares listed on the Jordanian Stock Exchange decreased by 0.5 percent to close the week at 1981.1 points.
The average daily trading volume on the Amman Stock Exchange during the last week was about 11.8 million JD compared with 4.6 million JD the previous week, an increase of 158.7 percent, while the total weekly trading volume reached about 58.9 million JD, compared with JD 22.8 million for the previous week .
The number of shares traded recorded by the Stock Exchange during the past week, amounted to 43.5 million shares, executed through 12,283 transactions.
