“Trade” invites the private sector to obtain commercial records data electronically and free of charge

The Ministry of Trade and Investment called on all private sector establishments to benefit from the process of making the details of commercial records available to companies and institutions free of charge through the portal “Wathiq”, where the number of beneficiaries of these data reached 402 beneficiaries of the private sector establishments during the trial period of the service, which started mid-May. May 2019.
The move comes in support of the Ministry of Business to take advantage of this data electronically in its smart applications, and to promote initiatives to stimulate e-commerce and digital transformation in the Kingdom, in addition to empowering the private sector and raise the reliability of e-commerce between enterprises and to contribute to business growth and create new opportunities for enterprises in various sectors. The developer portal “Wathiq” is a service provided by the Ministry of Commerce and Investment that allows beneficiaries to inquire about all commercial registration data of companies and institutions with its details such as trade name, status and history of the register, activity data, address, capital size, geographical distribution of business activities and many other data related to the entity. Commercial.
Wathiq also allows its customers to build their own WebServices services automatically according to the needs of the establishment and use them directly in their applications.
The Ministry has announced its call for those wishing to benefit from obtaining the basic data of the Commercial Register electronically by entering the portal “Wathiq” (https://wathq.sa) and registering with the free basic package and receiving the relevant APIs.
It should be noted that the data that are available free of charge to small and medium enterprises help to ease their use automatically and is huge data, where the total number of commercial records of the main and sub-all of the establishments (1,190,180) commercial records up to the end of the year 1440 AH, a growth rate of 5, 53% compared to the previous year.
