The Government of Saudi Arabia is committed to paying private sector dues within a period not exceeding 60 days

The Ministry of Finance of Saudi Arabia indicated the Government’s commitment to pay all the payment orders received by the governmental authorities concerning the entitlements of the private sector during the period previously announced, which does not exceed 60 days maximum.
She pointed out that 99% of the payment orders received by the Ministry of Finance were paid within 60 days, while the total amount paid was less than 1%, which is reserved for judicial orders, indicating that of the total amounts paid within 60 days 97% In a period not exceeding 30 days.
The Ministry of Finance reported that a small percentage of the disputed amounts were between the contractor, the supplier and the government and therefore did not submit its own payment orders. These contracts were subject to the agreed dispute settlement mechanism, noting that the contractor or supplier had the right to resort to a settlement mechanism Contractual Dispute Resolution.
