Oil prices mixed on Wednesday as US crude rebounded from sharp losses in the previous session, even as concerns about the strength of the global economy, which cast a shadow over the market, continued.
US crude futures were up 13 cents, or 0.31 percent, at $ 42.66 a barrel.
Prices have risen by up to 2 percent earlier. Crude was down 6.7 percent in the previous session to $ 42.53 a barrel, its lowest since June 2017.
Brent crude fell 29 cents, or 0.57 percent, to $ 50.18 a barrel after falling earlier to its lowest price since July 2017. The price fell 6.2 percent in the previous session to $ 50.47.
Financial markets are generally under pressure from concerns about the global economic slowdown, amid high US interest rates and the US-China trade dispute.
