Sharjah Charity implements the back-to-school campaign with 6,000 school bags for all grades

Al-Rashdi: 47,000 students have benefited from the back-to-school project since 2015

Last Thursday, the Sharjah Charity Association began distributing the allocations of its seasonal campaign “Back to School”, which aims to distribute 6,000 school bags to students at various educational levels.

The distributed bags include all the school tools that the student needs in his school day, within the framework of the science student support programs that the association offers to learners from needy families to reduce the financial burden on families of the cost of these bags and what the student needs in the school day throughout the year.

Ali Muhammad Al-Rashdi, Head of the Resources and Investment Sector of the Association, said that the “Back to School” campaign is a seasonal campaign through which we provide the school bag with all its contents for students from eligible families, which relieves them of the burden of providing the value of this bag, especially since some of these families count on more than one student, which is what It increases the burdens, so the association’s assistance comes to provide them with bags and all their requirements in different designs and colors so that the beneficiaries do not feel embarrassed among their peers, and the variety of sizes of bags distributed according to age groups was taken into account so as not to burden the students, especially primary school students, as contracts with suppliers were taken into account. In the distribution offices, bags and tools of excellent quality were distributed. The process of distributing the bags was carried out through a careful organization, focusing on arranging the bags according to the educational stage, so that the beneficiaries are allowed to choose the bags that they like.

He pointed out that the campaign aims to relieve families of these burdens, bring joy to the hearts of their children, and encourage them to receive their academic year with more vigor, activity, and aspiration to achieve their ambitions and academic excellence.

Ali Al-Rashdi added that the back-to-school campaign is part of the educational assistance provided by the association in the march of students of knowledge, children of needy families, indicating that the support of science students by the association continues throughout the year by receiving requests to sponsor tuition fees for students who are unable to pay their tuition dues. Pointing out that the association was able during the past eight years to provide 47 thousand school bags, while the value of cash assistance for those who failed to pay tuition fees during the past year (2022) amounted to about 20 million dirhams.
