The Jordanian Tax: The deduction of salary shall not be exempt from the submission of the annual income tax

The Jordanian Revenue and Sales Tax Department confirmed that the deduction of the income tax from any salary, wage or service allowance does not exempt the taxpayer from submitting the income tax declaration if the annual income of the single person exceeds 12,000 dinars and the person paying the salary is 24 thousand dinars.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the department called on income tax collectors to avoid any fines for filing the income tax returns for 2017 electronically, and to fill them with factual and correct information that reflects their real and real income during the last year 2017 and to attach information about their economic activities electronically.
The taxpayers, who did not participate in the income tax and electronic sales services, were invited to obtain a user name and a secret number from the nearest department or tax service center to enable them to submit the declarations electronically and obtain a number of other services without having to check the department.
