His Excellency Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, discussed during a meeting with South Korean Minister of Commerce Kim Hyun-chung and his accompanying delegation at the Ministry’s headquarters in Dubai bilateral relations and the prospects of economic and trade cooperation in the coming stage.
The two sides stressed the importance of enhancing the joint dialogue on cooperation in the field of air transport and aviation to achieve tangible progress in this file. The next stage, also reviewed the possibilities in the field of the automotive industry and advanced technologies associated with electronic and electrical cars and challenges and opportunities under the global trends in this regard, Transport and import of renewable energy and development of smart cities and associated infrastructure.
The meeting was attended by HE Eng. Mohammed Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Al Shehhi, Undersecretary for Economic Affairs, HE Abdullah Sultan Al Fann Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy, Khalafan Al Suwaidi, Director of the International Center for Patent Registration in the Ministry, and a number of senior officials and advisors from both sides.
During the meeting, the two ministers stressed the common desire to explore possible opportunities for cooperation in various fields that take priority on the economic and development agenda of the two sides and to formulate fruitful models for cooperation in them. He also discussed opportunities for partnerships and exchange of expertise in the sectors of intelligent industries based on renewable energy sources and ways of developing and adapting the infrastructure of cities To meet those requirements during the next phase.
His Excellency Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri said that relations between the UAE and Korea are growing at all levels, especially in the economic and trade fields. He pointed out that the most important feature of the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries is the mutual desire to address various vital sectors that serve the requirements of sustainable development, Which has been reflected in the fruitful forms of cooperation that have been developed in the last stage
