Oil falls, ending a three-day rally as growth concerns return

WASHINGTON 25 -10-2019 \ SPA
Oil prices fell today, giving up some of their three-day gains, as expectations for economic growth renewed concerns about the outlook for fuel demand.
Brent crude was down 18 cents, or 0.3 percent, at $ 61.49 a barrel.
After rising about 1 percent on Thursday, the benchmark moved towards a weekly gain of more than 3 percent.
US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell 21 cents, or 0.4 percent, to $ 56.02 a barrel, while the benchmark crude rose 0.5 percent in the previous session and is headed for gains of more than 4 percent a week.
The strong weekly rally was supported by a sudden drop in US oil inventories and optimism that OPEC and its allies would do more to support prices, but concerns about weak global growth remain the main drivers of prices.
