Arab Monetary Fund organizes a conference on cross-border payment systems

The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) is organizing a conference on “The Role of Cross-Border Payment Arrangements in Enhancing Regional Financial Integration” on 27 and 28 March at the Intercontinental Abu Dhabi Hotel.
The conference, in cooperation with the German Development Agency (GTZ), brings together senior financial officials and experts representing international financial institutions, central banks and international institutions in the field of payment systems services and technologies, including the World Bank Group, the Central and European Bank, SWIFT and Euroclear. Dialogue, consultation and exchange of knowledge on challenges, solutions and developments in cross-border payment and settlement systems.
The conference will discuss a number of issues and axes, including the future and role of regional payment systems, the trends of the payment services industry and the latest developments in this regard, and the role of modern payment systems techniques in enhancing the efficiency and integrity of financial transactions and supporting opportunities for integration and financial inclusion.
More than 300 experts, academics and specialists in payment systems and financial services will participate in the conference, in the presence of senior officials from the ministries of finance and economy, central banks, Arab monetary institutions and capital market authorities in the Arab countries.
