She explained that the permit for those staying outside the country for more than 6 months is one of the services provided by the authority, provided that the reason for staying outside the country is presented during that period, and allows residents to activate residency again and enter the country with the same residency after the approval of the authority, noting that this service includes all residencies. Approved within the system of services provided by the Authority, and does not apply to residents who hold golden residencies.

The authority stated, according to the new updates, that if the beneficiary of the service is sponsored under an establishment, the application must be submitted through the establishment’s account, and if he is on a personal guarantee, the application must be submitted from the sponsor’s account, but if the beneficiary of the service is a self-sponsor, He can submit the application using the personal account or public services.

She added that approving a permit request for those who stayed outside the country for more than 6 months requires submitting a copy of the Emirates ID and a copy of the passport, and attaching the reason for the delay in entering the country during that period, stressing that this service is limited only to dealers from abroad who stayed more than 6 months abroad.

She indicated that the other requirements for applying for the permit include that the application is submitted from outside the country, and the remaining period of residence must be more than 30 days when submitting the application, and the customer can submit the application after 180 days of staying outside the country have passed, and a reason must be provided justifying the presence. Outside the country for more than this period, a fine of 100 dirhams will be charged for every 30 days or less spent outside the country.

The “Identity and Nationality” confirmed that customers can recover the violation fees only if the application is rejected, and when the application is approved, they must enter the country within 30 days, including the date of approval of the application, noting that customers can apply for a permit through the authority’s smart services system. , or the “UAEICP” smartphone application, with a fee of 150 dirhams, or through the customer happiness centers, or the authority’s approved typing offices.

The authority had launched this service with the aim of delighting customers and enabling residents who have valid residence permits and were forced to stay outside the country for study, work or treatment for a period of more than 6 months, and then they exhausted the period specified for staying outside the country, which results in the cancellation of residence legally, stressing its keenness to Developing the system of services provided to customers and facilitating them through simplifying procedures and digital transformation in providing all services and launching new services that meet the needs of customers and address the exceptional circumstances they are exposed to.
