The Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defense announced the start of the implementation of the joint Emirates Shield exercise 51, which is considered an extension of the series of joint Emirates Shield exercises that are implemented by the Joint Operations Command with the aim of raising the efficiency and readiness of the leaders and units of the armed forces in planning and implementing joint operations in all circumstances and times.
Joint duty forces from the Land Forces, Presidential Guard, Navy, Air Force, Air Defense and Joint Aviation participate in the exercise, which is being carried out within the waters, airspace and territory of the United Arab Emirates.
The exercise began with the implementation of the Joint Duty Force (Zayed), the operations of the Airborne Forces at night.
The Joint Operations Commander, Major General Saleh Muhammad bin Mejren Al-Amiri, said that the first phase was completed with the success of the Joint Duty Force (Zayed) in completing all its mobilization duties within the specified times, despite the high risks in the joint operations environment.
