The two-day exhibition of the rubber and polyurethane industry has kicked off today at Expo Center Sharjah with the participation of 40 exhibitors from 60 companies showcasing the latest technologies and products from different countries of the world in addition to exchanging experiences in this sector.
The two exhibitions, organized by Technopies of Thailand, an international reference center for polymer industries, include two main axes targeting the rubber, latex, tire, polyurethane and foam sectors, as well as a number of conferences, research and innovation platforms and training courses, and the allocation of polyurethane and rubber industry clinics to participants. Visitors will be provided with technical advisory services by professionals with extensive experience, as well as networking sessions and job fair in the sector.
“ These events are taking place at a time of increasing demand for rubber and polyurethane in the UAE as a result of their association with a wide range of industries such as construction, automotive, transportation, household appliances, furniture, bedding, packaging and textiles, ” said Piram Prasada Rao, Managing Director of Technopies.
He pointed out that the high consumption of polymer is a natural result of the overall economic development of the country and reflects the extent of its growth prospects, where the construction and automotive industry is a booming industry and one of the main factors driving the demand for polyurethane and rubber industries, where the two exhibitions constitute a major meeting point for representatives of those industries in the region.

The rubber exhibition witnessed various specialties such as blending rubber with silica, thermoplastic properties of plastics, elastomer rubber compounds and modern plasticizers in rubber compounds and reverse engineering in exchange for the development of new rubber products and rubber bindings to metals.It also highlighted natural and synthetic rubber, chemicals and additives, machinery and testing equipment, Technologies and chemicals for latex, submerged latex technology, latex manufacturing machinery, tire technology, and reclamation and recycling of rubber.
The polyurethane exhibition highlighted raw materials, polyurethane systems, mixing and distribution units, molds, machinery, handling equipment, laboratory equipment, automation and control, polyurethane products, research and development, consultancy, foams, chemicals, foam manufacturing equipment, foam products, test instruments, research and development, mattress machinery and equipment, materials Manufacturing of mattresses.
The conference section dealt with various topics such as introducing visitors to the latest developments in polyurethane materials and additives, the application of polyurethane in the automotive sector, safety and regulatory developments, developments in polyurethane sandwich technology, as well as other specialized topics.
