Pakistan partially restores its factories in support of exports

Islamabad 10 April 2020 WAM

Pakistan has decided to restart some of the factories that were closed as part of the economic shutdown measures in order to limit the spread of the new Corona virus “Covid 19” to support the country’s exports, which are expected to witness a 50 percent decline in the next two months.

Abdul Razzaq Dawood, the commercial advisor to the Pakistani government, said in a statement in this regard that companies associated with export contracts will be allowed to resume operating their factories while taking precautionary measures, including the employment of the necessary labor only and carrying out cleansing and sterilization operations regularly.
