Badran wins the Rabdan 22-foot sailing race

ABU DHABI, February 25 / The loader “Badran”, owned by Mohammed Tariq Al Marzouqi, and led by Noukhatha Abdulaziz Tariq Al Marzouqi, was crowned the 22-foot Rabdan Race for sailing bearings, which was organized by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club yesterday, Friday, as part of the activities of the Maritime Heritage Festival, for a distance of 7 nautical miles, with the participation of Great for bearings from different emirates.
And came in second place, “Nimran”, owned by the captain, Majed Ahmed Abdullah Al Marzouki, and came in the third place, “Abu Dhabi”, which is affiliated with the Abu Dhabi Club for Marine Sports, and was led by captain Ahmed Ismail Al Marzouki, and came in fourth place, “Sarukh”, owned by the captain, Abdul Aziz Muhammad Abdul Rahman. The fifth place went to the loader “Dahis” for its owner, Al-Nukhaza Abdul Rahman Abdullah Al-Marzouqi.
And “earthquake” for its owner, Noukha Abdullah Marwan Al Marzouqi, won the sixth place, and “Sarokh 1” for its owner, Saeed Muhammad Al-Bahlouli, and led by Noukha Hamad Hassan Al Hosani, came in seventh place, and “Flood” for its owner Ahmed Ismail Al Marzouqi, and led by Noukhaza Zayed Sultan Al Dhaheri, won eighth place.
And “Hasheem” owned by Al-Nukhatha Muhammad Marwan Al-Marzouqi came in ninth place, while “Al-Dheeb” owned by Al-Nukhatha Abdullah Tariq Al-Hosani ranked tenth.
The race, which is the third round for this category, witnessed strong competition between the bearings participating in all its stages, and the young sailors competed with great enthusiasm in order to achieve preference in reaching the finish line first. Maritime Heritage, where the winners were crowned, and valuable financial prizes were presented to the first and advanced ranks.
The organization of heritage races comes within an integrated program of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, which gives great attention to these races, as it supports efforts aimed at preserving the authentic Emirati marine heritage, to pass it on to generations in all its valuable and noble details.
The loader “Hashim” won the title of the first round, which bore the name of the Sheikh Zayed Festival race, and the second round race bore the name “ADNOC”, and the title of loader “Nimran” won.
The winners were Salem Al-Rumaithi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, Randa Omar bin Haidar, Director of the Festivals and Cultural Platforms Department, Khalifa Al-Rumaithi, Head of the Heritage Races Department, Hamid Al-Muhairi, Head of Maintenance and Technical Support, and Khalifa Al-Suwaidi, Head of the Club’s Academy.
For his part, Khalifa Al-Rumaithi expressed his happiness with the success achieved by the race from the technical and organizational sides, as well as the number of participants.
He said: “The young sailors presented a wonderful heroic epic of competition that extended from the heights of Lulu Island to the Abu Dhabi Corniche, during which the participants presented all their creativity and enthusiasm.”
The loader «Abu Dhabi» showed a great development by obtaining third place in his second participation in the races of this category, after he won the eighth place in the second round race in his first appearance, and this is a positive indication indicating that the loader will be on a date with greater achievements in the races coming.
