Emirates will launch a new service four times a week to Porto, the second destination in Portugal after Lisbon on July 2.
Emirates is using its flights to Porto, Portugal’s second-largest city after Lisbon with Boeing 777-300ER by dividing the three grades: 8 private suites in the first and 42 seats turn into a semi-standard business class bed and 310 comfortable seats with spacious spaces between the rows to extend the feet in tourism. With Emirates currently serving the Portuguese capital with two daily flights of the same type.
The new Emirates service will provide travelers to and from northern Portugal as well as travelers to and from cities in northwestern Spain close to Porto, such as Vigo and Santiago de Compostela, the option to travel easily to Dubai and to destinations across its global network, especially in Africa, Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
Flights between Dubai and Puerto Rico will start on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from July 2 and will depart Dubai International Airport at 9:15 am and arrive at Porto at 2:30 pm. 198 “will leave Porto at 5:35 pm and land in Dubai at 4:15 the next morning.
The arrival time allows passengers to easily travel on Emirates flights from Dubai International Airport to popular destinations such as Luanda, Angola, Johannesburg, Bangkok, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Sydney and others.
“Portugal in general and Porto in particular are experiencing a growing number of tourists and our new service, along with the Lisbon service, will serve two daily flights to meet the growing demand for leisure and business travelers, as well as more choice and flexibility when traveling to and from Portugal,” said Tim Clark, President of Emirates.
Porto is located on the northern coast of Portugal at the mouth of the Douro River and is an important commercial and industrial city that attracts business travelers. UNESCO has also included UNESCO’s historic center on the World Heritage List, which has many cultural and heritage features that are attractive to tourists.
Through the new service, Emirates Air Cargo will provide 18 tons of different cargo per trip in each direction, allowing Portuguese companies more opportunities to export their products to their traditional markets and enter new markets. Portuguese exports include ready made garments, footwear, corks and auto spare parts.
