Amman Stock Exchange decides to suspend shares of companies not committed to financial disclosure

Amman Stock Exchange (NSE) chief executive Nader Azar said the shares of the companies that did not comply with the quarterly financial statements would be suspended.
“The bourse is still waiting to be provided with quarterly financial statements of all companies listed and audited by the auditors of these companies for the period ending 31/3/2018,” Ezer said in a statement on Monday.
He added that the ASE will suspend the shares of the violating companies which did not commit to providing the Stock Exchange with the interim data for the first quarter reviewed by its auditor from the first business day following the end of April until such companies provide the Stock Exchange with the required data, B / 11 of the Securities Listing Regulations 2016, with a view to protecting investors and investors in the Jordanian securities market. ”
He pointed out that the stock exchange “will announce after the deadline for receipt of data, and through various media, the names of companies violating, and companies that will not adhere to the scheduled date will introduce itself to the penalties provided by the regulations and instructions in force.”
The companies are provided with the interim financial statements in compliance with the provisions of the Securities Listing Regulations of the ASE, which requires all listed companies to prepare audited quarterly financial statements from the auditors within one month from the end of the quarter concerned, in order to enhance disclosure and transparency. From getting the results of business companies continuously.
The exchange will circulate these data to brokerage companies operating on the stock exchange and on the bourse’s website www.Exchange.jo within circulars and disclosures, in order to facilitate access by interested parties.
