Qualifying 500 Egyptian government employees in the areas of planning and future prospects

The governments of the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Republic of Egypt organized a program to build capacities in the areas of strategic planning and foresight for the future, with the participation of 500 employees of the Egyptian government agencies, aimed at enhancing the skills of employees in future outlook operations and analyzing future directions to develop strategic visions and plans that It contributes to improving the level of performance and upgrading the government work system in Egypt.

The organization of the training program came as a complement to a series of programs and workshops within the framework of the strategic partnership in government modernization between the UAE and Egypt, aimed at exchanging knowledge and success stories in government work between the two sides and in various vital sectors to enhance the quality of life for members of society.

Dr. Yasser Al-Naqbi, Assistant Director General of Governmental Leadership and Capacity in the Office of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future stressed that the UAE government adopts looking ahead and preparing for its changes as an essential element in its work method and strategic planning tools, and organizing the training program comes within the framework of strengthening the partnership between the governments of the two countries And confirms the UAE government’s keenness to share its successful experiences with brotherly and friendly countries in the areas of modernizing government work.

Al Naqbi said that developing and building the capabilities of employees in the field of planning and strategic thinking in government work is a priority to support government efforts in the future industry and the development of innovative and effective solutions to challenges, and the training program seeks to achieve this goal by qualifying human cadres who are able to read future changes and prepare for them and prepare plans and programs According to a set of tools and scientific and practical methodologies to achieve the aspirations of the customers and upgrade the system of government work.

Participated in the training workshop held in Cairo, 500 employees from the Egyptian government agencies and presented by the Emirati trainer Nasser Ahmed Al Rashdi, Director of Space Policy and Legislations Department at the Emirates Space Agency, and Al-Fadl Issa Al-Hamiri, an expert in the Department of Economic Development in Dubai.

The workshop covered the concept of strategic planning and the differences between traditional and strategic planning, mechanisms for dealing with future scenarios and finding solutions to expected challenges, skills and tools necessary for effective planning processes that are appropriate to the variables of the requirements of the government services sector to be active in the bodies in which they work to provide services to customers of high quality and according to the highest Global standards.

The workshops reviewed the UAE experience in the field of prospecting the future and strategic planning and the UAE vision 2021 and the centennial axes of the UAE 2071, and touched on a number of strategies launched by the government of the UAE, and the ten recommendations of government administration developed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister The ruler of Dubai, “may God bless him,” and the pillars on which the Ministry was impossible, in addition to the methodology and framework for developing government services, defining the concept of the strategy, the stages of its construction and preparation, and the most important main factors for measuring the performance of government agencies.

The strategic partnership to update government work between the UAE and Egypt includes organizing a series of initiatives and training workshops throughout the year to build the capabilities of employees through exchanging knowledge and benefiting from successful experiences and experiences in the areas of services, institutional performance, innovation, excellence and leadership building.
