Crude oil prices retreated today amid fears of an economic slowdown and a trade war between China and the United States that led to a reduction in the outlook for growth in global demand for crude.
Brent crude was $ 58.40 a barrel, down 13 cents, or 0.2 percent, from the previous settlement.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were at $ 54.33 a barrel, down 17 cents, or 0.3 percent, from the previous close.
