Issuing a passport for falcons is one of the services provided by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment in the Emirates. Through this service, the owner of the falcon can obtain a passport for the falcon that is valid for a period of 3 years, starting from the date of issuance, renewal of the falcon’s passport, or issuance of a replacement for a lost one. This is to use it on travel and hunting trips, instead of using CITES certificates. It is considered a document of ownership for the falcon.

The procedures for this service are carried out electronically through the digital services system, and it begins with creating the application electronically, then paying the fees electronically, then reviewing the application and completing the procedures electronically, after which the falcon’s passport is issued and delivered through the delivery company.

Among the conditions that must be met to obtain the service is that the owner of the falcon be a citizen of the country or residents who hold a valid state identity card, that he has obtained the falcon in a legal way and is registered in the electronic system of the ministry, and that the falcon is identified by an identification ring, and the owner of the falcon may install an electronic identification chip according to his desire without prejudice to the condition of the introductory episode.

It is prohibited to dispose of the falcon document, whether inside or outside the country, other than the purposes specified for it. The owner of the falcon or the falcon holder authorized by the owner under an authorization document, an official letter, or the business card of the concerned authority, or what proves that, may use the falcon document across the international borders of the countries ratifying the falcon document. The owner of the falcon may not change or remove the (identification ring) used by the Ministry to identify the falcon, and the owner of the falcon must consult the Ministry if the need arises, whether for health reasons for the falcon or others.

The Ministry may withdraw, amend or cancel any falcon document it has issued if it is proved that any of them has been issued based on incorrect or misleading data by the applicant. In the case of countries that do not accept the falcon document, the falcon owner must issue CITES export or re-export certificates. ; This is to be used upon exit from the country’s ports, provided that the original document of the falcon is preserved; This is to be used when entering the country’s ports.

Falcons of all kinds may not be released in the country except after obtaining approval from the competent authority. The Ministry may also take a sample to examine the DNA of the falcon when the need arises. All incoming and outgoing falcons are subject to the legislation in force, systems and procedures for veterinary quarantine and the regulation and control of trade. of animals and plants threatened with extinction in force in the country.
