What are the cases of termination of the employment contract?
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation answers this question, as it clarifies that the Law on Regulating Labor Relations and its Executive Regulations set a number of cases under which the employment contract may be terminated, which are: First: the two parties agree in writing to terminate it.
Second: The expiry of the period specified in the contract unless the contract is extended or renewed.
Third: At the request of one of the parties, provided that the provisions of the law regarding termination of the work contract and the warning period agreed upon in the contract are adhered to.
Fourth: The death of the employer if the subject of the contract is related to his person.
