“Industry Development” organizes a workshop on the impact of local value added on the industrial sector in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADED) organized a workshop titled “The Impact of the Local Value Added Program on the Industrial Sector” in Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADBD) Industry Dialogue Program, attended by more than 50 people representing a number of major companies and factories in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
“The local content program, which is overseen by the Department, aims to achieve sustained growth in GDP, increase settlement rates, promote technology, achieve economic diversification, and enhance industrial, service and commercial connectivity,” said Khalid Mubarak Bani Zamah, director of the local content program at the Industrial Development Bureau. At the level of the three regions of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
He pointed out that the industry dialogue session aims at enhancing public-private communication in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi by organizing a number of workshops periodically by providing a common platform for decision makers in Abu Dhabi factories with the Bureau of Industry Development and strategic partners to discuss the most important programs, Industry to take advantage of its outputs and develop programs and solutions that will contribute to the achievement of industrial development within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
During the workshop, the ADNOC Local Value Added Program (ADNOC) was launched, which aims to create additional employment opportunities for highly skilled citizens and increase the use of local content such as products, manufacturing facilities, assembly, services and infrastructure, as well as contributing to the development and prosperity of the UAE economy. Highlighted the positive impact it has achieved since its launch in early 2018.
