Dubai receives 1.4 million sea passengers during two seasons

 

Port Rashid and the Dubai Harbor waterfront handled about 1.456 million passengers on 702 cruises and 3.843 million bags during the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 season for cruise cruises.

Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs and CEO of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, visited the Hamdan bin Mohammed building for cruise passengers in Port Rashid, where he was briefed on the workflow mechanism, the itinerary of passengers and cruise ships, and the facilities provided around the clock to transport passengers from the tourist building.

The Director General of Dubai Customs affirmed the department’s keenness to improve the services of passengers by sea means through joint and continuous coordination with strategic partners, and directed the need to provide more services.

He added that Dubai Customs’ capabilities in inspection and smart and innovative services enabled it to keep pace with the boom in the marine tourism sector, by providing advanced customs services that keep pace with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda, to enhance the emirate’s position as a global center for tourism and travel.
