“Dubai Tourism” launches “Futures 2019”

The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has launched the third edition of the “Futurism” program – a platform for emerging technology companies from around the world – aimed at transforming the tourism industry into enriching innovative tourism experiences.
Dubai Tourism, in collaboration with Accenture, a professional consulting firm, has organized the third edition of the program and is preparing the contestants for this annual challenge. The program is supported by several industry partners and investors, including the Sierra Group and Atlantis The Palm, Emaar Hospitality Group and Emirates Group.
The program called “Pioneer 2019” start-up companies to apply to participate in the competition before July 31, to actively contribute to the creation of distinctive tourism experiences where the emerging companies will have the challenge of reviewing the technological innovations.
A jury of technology experts, along with Dubai Tourism officials and representatives from its industry partners, will select the top 10 emerging companies out of the total number of entries to be counted. The six-week qualifying program will provide qualified individuals with the opportunity to develop their solutions to meet the needs of supporting companies. Dubai Tourism, TJUL, Serra Group, Atlantis Palm Jumeirah, Emaar Hospitality Group and Emirates Group will also provide Support for the ten participants to ensure a transparent and supportive competitive environment for innovation.
Dubai Tourism will announce the names of the winning company and its award-winning AED100,000 in addition to additional benefits such as the issuance of a license and work visas in Dubai, as well as the provision of incubator offices in the emirate.
“As part of the 10X initiative to develop strategies and projects that will enable Dubai to outperform other cities in ten years, the FutureCrim program is helping to strengthen the emirate’s status as a leading hub, For emerging technology companies in the field of travel and tourism that seek to develop and expand in its field.
He added that since the launch of this program in 2017, the Department has supported a group of leading start-ups from around the world to record real success stories. The launch of the third edition of this program is evidence of its success as the growing interest in it by partners, investors and entrepreneurs Within the tourism system.
The program is part of the Department’s ongoing efforts to develop Dubai’s tourism sector and promote it to the digital world, ensuring that the city is a world-class destination. The program has helped develop alternative technologies that help overcome challenges, Attracting more international visitors as well as providing them with unique and comfortable experiences throughout their stay in the city from the moment they think about visiting Dubai.
