DEWA: 22% growth in the number of transport stations in 6 months

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority recorded a growth in the number of new transmission stations by 22% during the first half of 2022, compared to the same period last year.
From the beginning of this year until June 2022, the authority inaugurated a new main transmission station with a voltage of 400 kV, and 10 new main transmission stations with a voltage of 132 kV, with investments amounting to one billion seven hundred million dirhams, bringing the total number of 400 kV transmission stations in Dubai to 26 stations. And transmission stations voltage 132 kV to 329 stations.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, indicated that the total value of the Authority’s investments in electricity transmission projects between 2021 and 2024 amounts to 10 billion dirhams; Of these, two billion dirhams are for main transmission projects of 400 kV and 8 billion dirhams for main transport projects of 132 kV.
