His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated on Thursday morning the Victoria International School in Kalba, located in the Al Ghayl region.
Upon his arrival, His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, removed the traditional curtain, and then toured the school, starting with the kindergarten building, where His Highness was briefed on the mechanism of teaching in the various classes, and learned about the level of benefit and impact of education methods on children and the extent of their integration with them. The theater, familiar with its contents and facilities, which can accommodate 430 people, was equipped with various technologies and the latest devices that help organize various educational and entertainment events and events.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah concluded his tour by visiting the primary school building, and His Highness watched the students’ interaction with the teachers’ presentations during the study sessions, in which interactive methods are used to develop children’s skills and consolidate their knowledge.
The Victoria International School in Kalba consists of 4 main buildings on an area of 10,000 square meters. It is the administrative building that includes offices, a meeting room, a training room, first aid rooms, two doctors’ rooms, and health service facilities.
The second building is dedicated to kindergarten, and includes 19 classrooms for kindergarten and first grade, in addition to a multi-purpose air-conditioned main yard, a library, a number of teachers’ offices, meeting rooms, health facilities, and two covered outdoor playgrounds.
As for the third building, it is the primary school building, which is intended for basic education stages from the second to sixth grades, and contains 11 classrooms, teacher and meeting rooms, covered playgrounds, health facilities and a multi-purpose hall.
The fourth building is dedicated to the theater, to host the various activities of the school, and to provide students with the opportunity to participate in the events and perform the various arts and skills they learn at school.
The inauguration was attended by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah: Sheikh Muhammad bin Saud Al Qasimi, Head of the Central Finance Department, Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler’s Office in Khor Fakkan, Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler’s Office in Kalba City, and Sheikh Saud bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, CEO of the real estate sector in Sharjah Asset Management, and a number of senior officials, heads of government departments
