South Korea’s LG Energy Solutions said it plans to build a new 5.1 trillion won ($4.4 billion) electric car battery factory in the United States in partnership with Japanese car giant Honda.
The plant has an estimated production capacity of 40 gigawatt-hours per year, and production will start from the end of 2025, and will produce battery cells and modules there to equip new Honda Acura electric vehicle models, the Korea Herald reported Wednesday.
