Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry concludes its evaluation of the participating companies in “Economic Excellence”

Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has completed the evaluation phase for all participating companies in the third edition of the Sharjah Economic Excellence Award for 2018, one of the Chamber’s initiatives aimed at spreading the culture of quality and excellence in the UAE and Gulf private sector.
Evaluation teams evaluated the final grades and final reports in preparation for submission to the arbitration committees in the light of the end of the assessment teams, which included a number of national cadres visits field that lasted for two weeks and included all the facilities participating in the award.
Nada Abdul Salam Al Hajri, General Coordinator of the Sharjah Economic Excellence Award, said that the award received wide attention in its third edition by the local and Gulf business communities. He stressed the keenness of Sharjah Chamber to enhance the role of the Award in developing the performance and efficiency of the private sector in Sharjah, Gulf in general.
Al Hajeri explained that the evaluation teams completed their tasks in the framework of field visits, preliminary evaluation and estimated grades. The arbitration committee is scheduled to hold a meeting in January to approve the results before submitting them to the Board of Trustees of the Award.
Al-Hajri pointed out that the Sharjah Chamber has been keen to attract a number of national cadres specialized in various fields of evaluation, which include institutional excellence, green practices, corporate responsibility, entrepreneurship and emerging projects within the evaluation teams that have established the degrees of the establishments participating in the award.
The Sharjah Economic Excellence Award aims to stimulate private sector companies and individuals in the UAE and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain and Oman to innovate in various economic sectors, promote corporate governance and encourage the adoption of quality standards and business ethics. In addition to promoting environmentally friendly practices and enhancing the role of economic institutions in promoting sustainable development by providing facilities, launching new projects and initiatives, and motivating them to continue success and appreciation of their achievements.
