Severe flooding in southwest India due to heavy rains

Heavy rains in India caused severe flooding in residential areas in the southwestern state of Andhra Pradesh.

The Indian channel, NDTV, reported that the floods inundated many residential neighborhoods in the state and caused traffic jams, drowned cars, and stranded citizens because of the flooded streets.

She added that the photos and reports from the area indicated that the water had reached a high level, while there were no reports of victims or missing persons as a result of the floods so far.
