Medecastrica strengthens trade ties with UAE in 2017

PROCUMER, Costa Rica’s official agency for the promotion of foreign trade, held a conference in Dubai entitled “Costa Rica: 2017 Achievements and 2018 Aspirations”.

The conference was attended by industry leaders and representatives of Expo 2020, to celebrate a year of diplomatic success, including the official visit of the President of Costa Rica to the United Arab Emirates.

Costa Rica, in a press release obtained by MediaN, confirmed its intention to work further in 2018 to overcome the vast geographical distances between the two countries. Costa Rica this year also hosted the Abu Dhabi Development Fund and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce to discuss all aspects of trade between In the future.

During the conference Procommer presented the products available for export, including tropical fruits and fine chocolate. As the first exporter of fresh pineapples in the world, the country is looking to diversify export destinations and increase trade with Gulf countries.

Costa Rica has praised its participation in the Gulf Food Fair this year and has confirmed its participation in the 2018 edition.
